Fitness Journal by Colors

If you are going to get in a losing weight program, then it’s a must to keep track of your progress. I mean each day you work out, you follow some steps, therefore it’s important to know what you are doing/have done since the beginning of the program. This helps you see what you did good, what you did wrong. Now, not everyone is a trained athlete, therefore we don’t have the time to keep a journal as it should. But there I was one day browsing the web, when I found an interesting thing, called the Streaming Colors Fitness Journal. The idea behind it it’s so simple, you wouldn’t believe it. And if you are a cheerful person, then might find it fun.

It is basically a calendar on which you draw your progress….By creating your own color scheme to match your goals, you can color in the tasks you accomplish each day and get instant feedback that helps you track how you're doing. This is a simple way to keep track of workouts and eating habits. By looking at it, I can only say this simple idea has simply no cons (unless you are a grumpy person that hates colors… which is ok to be). As pros I can mention: an innovative and fun way to keep track of workouts, color coding system provides instant feedback for tracking progress, simple to use and great motivation for staying on track.

The idea here is to choose a color for each workout or healthy habit you want to track (e.g., red for cardio, yellow for taking a walk, green for drinking water, etc.) and then mark each activity you accomplish each day. By just looking at the calendar and noting the colors you've used, you can see what you've accomplished or what you need to work on. You can keep the same color key or change it every month, if you like. At the end of each month, you can make notes for what you want to improve upon for the next month and, at the end of the calendar you can rate how you did over the year.

You can either make your own streaming colors fitness calendar, or can buy one, that has tons of other extras, such as a start page where you can rate your current fitness habits to help you set goals and a section related to the food guide pyramid. What can I say…fun and practical.
