Getting in shape – fitness or yoga?

Loosing weight and building your body is a hard working program and whatever method you use, it should better work! It’s not easy to change your daily program to go to the gym, sweat to exhaustion and bend over backwards – but it should be worth the effort because you will look and feel better. There are more and more alternatives to exercising, and you can choose the most appropriate one for you to feel it’s easier. There are two strong directions in exercising: the active and the passive way.

The active way is fitness – doing exercises in the gym, moving around, lifting not so very heavy weights, running or walking with the help of different workout machines like the stepper or the tread mill. In these gyms you are motivated to move, to be very active and you like to be energetic because of the music played there. Usually people come here two or three times a week to get in shape, in the morning before work or in the evening. However studies show that it’s best to go only twice a week to the gym and do intensive workouts because this will educate the muscles. You see, if you do more workouts per week your body will get stressed about contracting and relaxing and then again contracting. Doing fitness once a week will make your body be comfortable with contracting and then building up the energy for the muscles to grow.

The passive way is Yoga. This ancient oriental method enhances the idea that relaxing your body and getting into different body positions will let positive energies protect you from bad energies and so have a great metabolism. These exercises are accompanied by a specific oriental music that has the main purpose to relax you and get you in the mood. Practicing Yoga is a very fashionable practice, adored more and more by VIPs so it becoming a huge trend.

It’s up to you to chose how you want to get in shape, loose weight and look great. If it’s up to me, I would choose Fitness because it’s a little weird to get into strange positions and get all tangled up just to loose weight. Maybe I’m exaggerating but what if I get stuck like that? Never mind, I would rather run and do the Stepper because it’s more active and I feel like I’m really doing something and not waiting for positive energies to steal those extra ponds!
